Which gifts made your wish list this holiday season?

Earlier this week, featured a gift guide for builders written by Matt Risinger of Risinger Homes in Austin, Texas. You have probably seen Risinger’s name here before. We’re big fans of how he is continues to use blogging and digital marketing to enhance his business.

Anyway, Risinger’s list included some pretty cool items any builder could use, including:

FastCap Tape Measure ($10-$15)

Fastcap Tape

No builder has ever complained about having too many tape measures. However, this one adds some practical functionality. Risinger writes, “My crew and I LOVE this tape measure! You can write measurements on the side with a pencil and erase it with your thumb, the measurements read left/right, and it has a pencil sharpener built in! This is the best tape I’ve ever owned and it’s cheap!”

Building Science Builder Guide to [Your] Climate ($45)

The collection by Dr. Joseph Lstiburek includes editions for cold climates, hot-humid climates, hot-dry/mixed-hot climates and mixed-humid climates. Risinger holds the books in very high regard: “This is the best $45 you will spend in education about Building Science. This book is my go-to Bible on how to build a house in my climate.”

Maybe tape measures and books haven’t made your wish list this year, but we’re curious to know what has. What are you hoping to receive from Santa this year?
